Turning London teal!  

Capacity 2023 is a major tech event in London and Colt wanted to do all they can to make their mark as their main sponsor. With a fantastic collaboration with MOI held the previous year – what would we do to outdo our previous success and produce something which went to the next level? 

The not-so-B2B high spot: A masterclass in eye-catching OOH.

The context

Colt was sponsoring Capacity 2023 and wanted to make an impression with attendees in the surrounding area in an out of home event.

The challenge

After a successful out of home event we ran for them the year before, Colt was sponsoring the tech event Capacity 2023 in London and wanted to push things even further. So that’s what we did. The question – how do we attract the attendees attention as †hey head to the venue? The stage was set to create another talked-about campaign.

The solution

With a €50-60k budget and filled to the brim with ideas, we were ready to go.  At the nearby North Greenwich tube station, the barriers would be wrapped in the eye-catching logo and signature Colt teal colour. We also proposed black cab branding through taxi wraps, including tip-seat and receipt branding – and sustainable reverse graffiti stencilling in a prime part of London.

The results

Taxis wrapped in Colt branding collected passengers from North Greenwich station, travelling to the event. There were also taxis driving around London for several months including the high footfall shopping periods in the lead-up to Christmas. A photoshoot took place – and so did stencils between Colt HQ and Liverpool Street station. This reverse graffiti lasted for approximately 4 weeks as did the ticket gates, keeping the conversation going. The result – a successful and talked-about event as we painted the town teal!
